“The atmosphere at CHS is truly what makes it special. Students and teachers alike work together and support each other in so many ways.”
Who was your favorite teacher or administrator during your time at CHS? What subject did they teach? What made her or him special?
My favorite teacher is Mrs. Jahnz. She is a math teacher who I was lucky enough to have for AP Calculus. She is always excited about math and willing to help her students succeed in any way she can. She goes above and beyond to ensure that her students are enjoying her class while also learning in the best way possible.
What is something about CHS that people might not know, but should?
People may not know that CHS offers a wide variety of classes and clubs to suit anyone’s interests. If you are interested in something, ranging from arts to sports to writing, there are classes and clubs that you can join to work with people that have the same interest. Even if there isn’t a club for what you enjoy, you can easily start one!
What advice would you give to next year’s ninth grade students coming to CHS?
I would advise future CHS students to become involved and don’t be afraid to try new things. It’s better to try something out and not like it than to wonder what could have happened if you had decided to do it. Also, although studying is important, you should have fun in high school too! Go to sporting events, variety show, and participate in school events. These will be some of the best times in high school and are certainly something you don’t want to miss out on. You should be happy and have fun during your four years at CHS.
What makes CHS special? Why?
The atmosphere at CHS is truly what makes it special. Students and teachers alike work together and support each other in so many ways. There is always someone willing to help out, and it is this kindness that makes CHS a special close-knit community.
