“CHS is so special because your teachers are so much more than teachers. They are mentors who are willing to help you face any problem that you may come across the four years of high school.”
Who was your favorite teacher or administrator during your time at CHS? What subject did they teach? What made her or him special?
My favorite teacher at CHS was Mrs. Jahnz (Math – Algebra 2 and AP Calculus). Mrs. Jahnz was so special because she was always willing to sacrifice any time that she had to help my peers and I succeed for our exams. She even had a study group at her house! She is positive, upbeat, and I will never forget her and all she has done for me.
What is something about CHS that people might not know, but should?
The curriculum of CHS has the capacity of challenging any student to perform his or her best. For those who strive to attend some of the most prestigious universities in the nation, you will surely be prepared if you challenge yourself to the highest level of classes that CHS has to offer.
What advice would you give to next year’s ninth grade students coming to CHS?
To the class of 2020, I would encourage you all to join some sort of club, whether it is a school sport or the school math team. Not only will you become integrated with the school, but you will also likely meet some of your closest friends through these programs.
What makes CHS special? Why?
CHS is so special because your teachers are so much more than teachers. They are mentors who are willing to help you face any problem that you may come across the four years of high school. They take an interest in their students and want you to succeed. I have been blessed by being the student of some of the kindest people I have ever met.
CHS faculty have high expectations of their students – “Be Respectful – Be Responsible – Be Ready to Succeed” is incorporated into our daily lives. Their positive reinforcement of this expectation makes CHS a special place to go to school and prepares the leaders and citizens of tomorrow.
